  • Rosa Mystica: The 15 Mysteries of the Most Holy Rosary and Other Joys, Sorrows and Glories of Mary: illustrated with copies of the rosary frescoes of Giovanni di San Giovanni and other artists, by Kenelm Digby Best (London: R. & T. Washbourne; St. Louis, Mo : B. Herder, 1904). Available in various formats at Open Library and Internet Archive.

For the Feast of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary of La Naval de Manila (Nuestra Señora del Santíssimo Rosario de La Naval de Manila), Patroness of the Philippine Navy; and in commemoration of the Battle of La Naval de Manila, where heavily outnumbered and outgunned Spanish-Philippine forces with 2 antiquated vessels, both converted merchantmen, sailed against a Dutch armada totaling 15 warships. Amid the vigil of their people before Christ our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament, and after fervently praying the holy rosary for His Blessed Mother’s intercession, the tiny Catholic flotilla miraculously and repeatedly defeated the heretic invaders with minimal loss of life, thus saving the Philippines for the true Faith.

Likewise posted in remembrance of the Siege of Vienna (1529), where Catholic forces resisted the armies of Suleiman the Magnificent and saved Christendom from Islam.
